- Food rich in Vitamin B, Vitamin C, and calcium are best for patients with gallbladder stones.
- Citrus fruits like lemon, orange, various kinds of Bell peppers, and leafy vegetables also aid in reducing gallstones.
2. Gallbladder Cleanse – There is another method that might help in gallstone removal naturally. It is called a gallbladder cleanse. Also known as a liver or gallbladder flush, this remedy involves drinking mixtures of olive oil, fruit juice, and various herbs, usually after a day of fasting.
Some believe this helps the gallbladder release stones, but what often appears in the stool is actually clumps of oil and juice, not real gallstones. But there is no strong scientific proof. They can even cause nausea, cramps, or diarrhoea. People with diabetes or blood sugar problems should be especially cautious. Always check with a doctor before trying any cleanse or fasting diet.
3. Regular Exercise Helps – We all know how important exercise is for good health. It helps manage weight, boosts immunity, and lowers the risk of chronic diseases. It also supports the biliary system by improving bile flow and easing digestion.
This can reduce pain, lower the chance of gallstones coming back, and cut down hospital visits. Regular movement makes the body more sensitive to insulin and helps balance cholesterol. Gentle activities like yoga, swimming, brisk walking, cycling, and breathing exercises work best for managing gallstone issues and improving overall well-being.
4. Apple Cider Vinegar – Even though apple cider vinegar is frequently used in cleanses. But there is still no scientific proof that it helps to dissolve gallstones naturally.
5. Milk Thistle – Another popularly used natural remedy is milk thistle. This tall plant that is called Doodh Patra in India, is available as a tablet, oral capsule or a liquid extract. Silymarin, one of its active ingredients has antioxidant properties. It may aid in the treatment of liver and gallbladder disorders. However, no scientific research has been done yet to prove its usefulness in the treatment of gallstones.
6. Dandelion – This plant is said to be beneficial for gallstones as it stimulates bile production. Dandelion tea or coffee might help in the removal of gallstones. However, more research is needed to prove its merit.
7. Castor Oil – A warm compress of castor oil on the abdomen might help in the reduction of inflammation, pain, and spasms.
